So it’s 2021.
Which means we’re done with 2020.
And if that’s not a reason to celebrate, I don’t know what is.
Last year was clearly unlike any other we’ve ever experienced. But aside from thousands more people finding my posts on banana bread and chocolate chip cookies each week, the food trends of the year remained the same.
People still love mug cakes, peanut butter, vegan food, keto recipes, and pretty much anything chocolate!
So based on pageviews and reader comments, here are your top 15 favorite recipes of the year:
This black bean brownie recipe makes the top-15 list every single year. It is still the most popular recipe I’ve ever published!
(or these Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies)
Overnight Oats – 15 Different Flavors
Banana Ice Cream – 10 Flavors
Did your favorite recipes from the blog make the list? And are there any healthy makeover desserts you’d love to see in this coming year?
Please feel free to let me know in the comments, and happy 2021. Thank you so much for reading!

Katie, in my mind, page view and reader comment counts basically represent that these are the recipes people are looking for or making. Obviously the idea is that this generally indicates that these are the best recipes because people make them, like them, and share them! But I feel that there can also be “hidden gems” that may not have had as many views or comments but for which the feedback you’ve gotten has been very positive, and it would be nice to also see these types of recipes highlighted. So I would be interested to see another roundup maybe of best RATED recipes from what you’ve posted in 2020, or something like that! What do you think?
This is a fantastic idea. I am not sure how we would implement it because most of the recipes that are the most popular due to pageviews are also 5 star rated since so many people have given them good ratings. But we will try harder to feature not-as-well-known recipes this year when linking back!
Oops! Me again, i also like to ask if you make healthy slimming food recipes?
Hi Katie,
Thanks for your fabulous recipes. We absolutely love them. Can you please consider developing more bean based desserts? This was an unexpected discovery and has opened doors for us to enjoy desserts like we never allowed ourselves to before. Or even 3 sisters desserts that include beans, corn, and squash? 3 sisters forms a complete protein, and is very nutritious. We played around with your black bean brownies and deep dish cookie pie to make them three sisters, and they were super good, but not as good as I’m sure they would be ha they been developed by you. Fingers crossed for this to be a something to look forward to in the future. Thanks again! Jalina
Hi! We will absolutely play around with more bean based recipes – hopefully soon 🙂
