From what I can tell, a successful kids’ birthday party has three components:
1. Presents.
2. Pizza.
3. And cake. Emphasis on the cake!
Why not save time and energy by combining two of the three?

Cake Batter Pizza
(Serves 1-2)
- 70 grams (1/2 cup) flour (I used two parts spelt flour to one part coconut flour. White flour or whole wheat pastry flour work too. You can also make a Gluten-Free Version.)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- sweetener (such as 2 tbsp sugar or 2 nunaturals stevia packets)
- 100 grams (a little under 1/2 cup) water or other liquid, such as juice or milk of choice
- 32g (2 tablespoons) coconut oil, or applesauce for a fat-free version (or try using pumpkin, canola oil, mashed banana, or even baby food!)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- optional, for a buttery “cake” flavor: 1/4 tsp butter extract (It’s vegan)
- A few handfuls of sprinkles
Cook in an un-preheated oven at 400F for 14-15 minutes or until done. Leave out 10 minutes before cutting around the sides and then transferring to a plate. (Note: be sure to spray your cake pan. If you have trouble with a pizzert that sticks to the pan, try putting it onto a sprayed or oiled baking sheet instead, and use a rolling pin to flatten.)
See original pizzert post for: Calories and Nutrition Facts.
I made this for my little friend who loves spwinkles (her way of saying “sprinkles”). Hanging out with little kids gives you the chance to act like a little kid, yourself. And if–by the end of the night–you’ve not been “spwinkled” out, you can always chase down your dessert pizza with:
The famous Cake Batter Milkshake.
Do you like pizza?
What are your favorite toppings? Aside from sprinkles, of course!

Update: My son loved the cake! I doubled the recipe I believe and used 3/4 coconut flour to 1/4 part lentil/quinoa mix. Its what I had and it turned out great. I left out the sprinkles and did the frosting with coconut oil and it was delish!
Thanks again 🙂
Thank YOU for making it… and for leaving such a sweet comment! I’m so excited he liked it! 🙂
I am like mentally ticking off in my head to make sure I have all the ingredients so I can go in the kitchen and make this now!
Oooo let me know if you like it! 🙂
Ok, I HAVE to make that “pizza.” How do you come up with these recipes?? You are a genius!
awww than u!!!! 🙂
lol I have too many recipes… it’s hard to write posts for them all 😕
Hey Katie! I hope you don’t mind that I kind of played around with this recipe as well as the chocolate-banana-coconut fudge frosting recipe, and the cookie ball pops and posted the results on my blog. I gave full credit for your original recipes and ideas! Here’s the link: http://healthykitschyvegan.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/im-a-thief/ I hope you don’t mind!!
Awww I’m so excited you tried all the recipes! Your chocolate pizzert cakes look especially awesome… as do the pb cookkie balls!
Why thank you 🙂 I’m so glad you don’t mind that I played around with your recipes..they’re so fun!
What’s the brand of sprinkles that you use? All the brands/kinds I found either had 1) Hydrogenated fats, 2) Artificial colors, or 3) All of the above

Hi Kathy! You can actually find a brand called “Let’s Do Organic” at Whole Foods in the baking section. It is completely organic and free of trans fats :).
Oh, thank you! ^^ I’ll surely have to check it out!
I love it, I love your site! I finally found some things I can eat. I’m 55 and have been a chocolate/sweets freak all my life. Then my adrenals crashed, I had to stop all sugar & coffee, then found out I’m allergic to eggs, milk/dairy, flour, lots of veggies (I can have cocoa, but not the stuff that makes it taste good)….and the list goes on, and on, and….but I can eat the pizzert and even make it for my Sunday School kids for a good snack! Thank you so much…..I’m so grateful I found your recipes.
Aww wow, your sweet comment made me SO happy! I am so glad you found me too.
Chocolate hugs!!! 🙂
Hi Katie!
I love all your recipe ideas and cannot wait to start to bake them!!! Keep up the great work! 🙂
What kind of butter extract do you use? Is that considered artificial? I ma not familiar with it!
Thanks so much!!
I found one by Wilton, and I emailed the company who assured me it’s vegan. But yeah, it’s not exactly all-natural! I figure it’s a tiny amount… and I have only used it once or twice in a year ;).
This was beyond amazing. It tastes just like cake!! P.S. I love your blog and all your recipes! I live in Fort Worth and I think you need to open a bakery so I can drive up to Dallas and buy all your food! :]
LOL I would be a very bad bakery owner… I’d eat all the chocolate before it got served ;).
I cannot eat starches or grains due to severe damage to my intestinal tract. I was wondering, do you think you could use coconut or almond flour or even pea/bean flour in place of the flour? I would have to use stevia and coconut oil in the batter (cannot tolerate sugar) Let me know any suggestions because this looks amazing.
Yup, see the “gluten free version” link for coconut lour 🙂
Hey Katie I think the breakfast pizzas look amazing and really tasty! I want one! But whenever I try to make one mine doesnt look anything like yours 🙁 It is all flopply and rubbery any suggestions? I only have self raising flour which might be the problem but is there anything I can do?
