What if I told you this creamy dessert in front of you is actually healthy chocolate mousse:

This velvety chocolate mousse is so rich and so thick that anyone who tries it will swear it must be full of heavy cream and calories.
But surprisingly, it’s not at all!
See those two chocolate-filled glasses?

I ate them both.
Joey doesn’t share food.
Katie doesn’t share chocolate.
What food do you think is too good to share? Brownies are too good to share! And chocolate fudge pie! I also like to have my own coconut butter so I can eat it straight from the jar. And now this rich chocolate mousse.
Way too good to share…

Healthy Chocolate Mousse
(Serves 2-4)
- 6 oz Mori-Nu silken-firm tofu (Click for a Soy-Free Chocolate Mousse Recipe)
- 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips, or 1 and 1/4 chocolate bars in the flavor of your choice (3-oz bars)
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1Â tbsp milk of choice
- 1/16 tsp salt
- pinch uncut stevia OR 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice
Melt the chocolate, either on the stove or in the microwave. Then throw everything into a Magic Bullet or food processor and blend until super-smooth. (I used a Magic Bullet. If your food processor is really big, or if you’re using a blender, it might be a good idea to double the recipe in order for the contents to blend smoothly.)

I made this tonight…I used Nasoya Silken Tofu and a blender instead. It came out AMAZING and DELICIOUS! My kids are currently wearing chocolate mustaches and beards 😀
I couldn’t find the same tofu you used, so I used regular soft tofu. The taste is really good, but the texture is grainy…perhaps it will be better after being in the fridge a while.
Ate this today! DELICIOUS!!! Mom made it with fat free half n half and half T agave nectar. Amazing, and it is 5 points for Weightwatcher members.
I LOVE the Joey reference haha!
Oh man!!! Just made this and it’s FANTASTIC!!!!! However to make it truly clean I need the sugar free chocolate chip recipe! I look and searched but I can’t find it.
I made this tonight, assuming my boyfriend would have no interest in eating it, he hates tofu and doesn’t appreciate it being pushed on him (his parents tend to do this hah), but he tried this and loved it! He is chilling his portion in the freezer at this moment because he likes pudding really frosty!
I had made tofu mousses before but found the tofu overpowering, this was great. I added sugar because I wanted to hide the taste.. but it was so unnecessary, I made it a bit too sweet. I will definitely make this again, tweaking the sweetness. Really appreciate the extra protein this provides after a meal.
This recipe plus a sprinkle of powdered chilli and cinnamon is absolutely to die for. On tomorrow’s menu- the banana-based fudge. Yep.
Thank you so, so much for this ultra-dreamy blog- all of the recipes I’ve tried ( I’m up to 6 in two weeks…) have been so easy and so delicious. I have no great talent for sweet-making and baking but with your help I’m getting there! Keep up the excellent work.
This was GREAT !! My husband even liked it and he usually doesn’t like stuff made with tofu !!
Can you clarify what you mean by 1 T of milk
It’s 1 tabelspoon 🙂
tablespoon 🙂
I just tried this recipe the other day and it turned out kind of… weird… Yes, it was probably my fault and I maybe should have used firm tofu and a food processor instead of a blender, but still. I tried doubling the recipe and it turned out with a very weird consistency..It also might have been (never realized) because I didn’t use enough chocolate when I doubled the recipe! Silly me, I’ll have to try this again sometime when I’m not in a rush.
Also, I love the Friends references that you throw into your posts! I love that show!
