What if I told you this creamy dessert in front of you is actually healthy chocolate mousse:

This velvety chocolate mousse is so rich and so thick that anyone who tries it will swear it must be full of heavy cream and calories.
But surprisingly, it’s not at all!
See those two chocolate-filled glasses?

I ate them both.
Joey doesn’t share food.
Katie doesn’t share chocolate.
What food do you think is too good to share? Brownies are too good to share! And chocolate fudge pie! I also like to have my own coconut butter so I can eat it straight from the jar. And now this rich chocolate mousse.
Way too good to share…

Healthy Chocolate Mousse
(Serves 2-4)
- 6 oz Mori-Nu silken-firm tofu (Click for a Soy-Free Chocolate Mousse Recipe)
- 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips, or 1 and 1/4 chocolate bars in the flavor of your choice (3-oz bars)
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1Â tbsp milk of choice
- 1/16 tsp salt
- pinch uncut stevia OR 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice
Melt the chocolate, either on the stove or in the microwave. Then throw everything into a Magic Bullet or food processor and blend until super-smooth. (I used a Magic Bullet. If your food processor is really big, or if you’re using a blender, it might be a good idea to double the recipe in order for the contents to blend smoothly.)

Do you know what the nutrional info on this is? I am suppose to eat low carb but I am allergic to artificial sweeteners so I am looking for low carb desserts made with all natural ingredients and this looks delicious.
The nutrition information link is listed right there in the post…
Ouch do I feel stupid. Totally missed that. Thanks. 🙂
Hi Katie! Could please tell me how many grams of tofu, thanks
Hey Katie!
I made this today and it was wonderful!! The only changes I made was that I used extra firm sprouted tofu because thats all I had on hand and added a little espresso powder (1/16th teaspoon) to bring out the chocolate flavor (Ina Garten always adds it to her recipes – She is right lol!) The mousse became super thick in the fridge. Thanks for a great recipe!! 🙂
Hi, just made your chocolate mousse. How long do I need to chill it…and. How long will it last in the fridge. I only got two servings? They don’t look that big…..but perhaps they are meant to be really small servings? What are your thoughts. How bad are they calories wise if I only get two servings?? Thanks
I couldn’t find silken tofu, so I used the soft. It was a little harder to blend, but tastes very good. I had to add quite a bit more milk, but finally got the consistency. Soooo, I’m taking these to a girl b-day party and am not telling my friends how I made it. Can’t wait to see what they think!
I made this last night and it was very delicious! It especially tasted great this morning after having it in the fridge overnight. I guess because the flavours really had time to set in. So yummy! I will for sure be making this again and again.
Could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a chocolate mousse bar without using tofu? I need a vegan version in my life and I know you can do it better than anyone haha!!!
Try her chocolate frosting shots! Makes a great mousse! https://lett-trim.today/2012/01/16/chocolate-frosting-shots/%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E
It’s a hit! My kids are eating it as we speak.
I am looking for your sugar free chocolate chip recipe. I searched for it, but it did not come up on the first few pages.
hi Katie
i’ve been hearing so many bad things about tofu and soy products lately. what’s your take on all that?
