What if I told you this creamy dessert in front of you is actually healthy chocolate mousse:

This velvety chocolate mousse is so rich and so thick that anyone who tries it will swear it must be full of heavy cream and calories.
But surprisingly, it’s not at all!
See those two chocolate-filled glasses?

I ate them both.
Joey doesn’t share food.
Katie doesn’t share chocolate.
What food do you think is too good to share? Brownies are too good to share! And chocolate fudge pie! I also like to have my own coconut butter so I can eat it straight from the jar. And now this rich chocolate mousse.
Way too good to share…

Healthy Chocolate Mousse
(Serves 2-4)
- 6 oz Mori-Nu silken-firm tofu (Click for a Soy-Free Chocolate Mousse Recipe)
- 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips, or 1 and 1/4 chocolate bars in the flavor of your choice (3-oz bars)
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp milk of choice
- 1/16 tsp salt
- pinch uncut stevia OR 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice
Melt the chocolate, either on the stove or in the microwave. Then throw everything into a Magic Bullet or food processor and blend until super-smooth. (I used a Magic Bullet. If your food processor is really big, or if you’re using a blender, it might be a good idea to double the recipe in order for the contents to blend smoothly.)

Banana Ice Cream – 10 NEW Recipes

Hi Katie:
Is the nutrition info based on using your sugar-free chocolate chip recipe? Can you provide a link to it. I searched for the recipe on your website but couldn’t find it. Would love to try this recipe.
I’ve tried quite a few of your recipes and am thrilled to be able to indulge in some yummy treats, knowing that -so much more nutritious than their sugar-laden, fatty counterparts. Thank-you for sharing your wonderful passion for chocolate!
Nutrition info looks to be using regular chocolate chips. I know there is a sugar-free chocolate chip recipe in Katie’s new cookbook:

This looks so delicious! I have Silken in my fridge just waiting to be transformed into chocolate mousse!
I have no idea how this tastes as good as it does! LOL
To step it up, I made a graham cracker crust and turned this into a pie!
I didn’t know the difference between silken and regular tofu and I bought firm “regular” tofu. Will this turn out the same? Or should I hold off until I get some silken tofu?
I recently made this chocolate mousse and days later I’m still thinking about it…it was THAT good, it was amazing! So rich and creamy, I could eat an entire tub of it haha! Thank uou so much for sharing this wonderful recipe. I will certainly be making it again soon! : )
I am severely gluten and dairy intolerant and cannot thank you enough for this amazing recipe! I am eating it straight out of the blender bowl! I never thought I would ever find an edible dairy free chocolate mousse recipe and you nailed it. THANK YOU
I’ve tried to find the kind of tofu you use but no luck. Is it in the refrigerator section of the store?
Nope! Shelf Stable! Look in the Asian section of Whole Foods or a health food store. I believe amazon also carries it.
You are my go-to for recipes, but I don’t see an option to print, just email, FB or Pinterest sharing options. Is this something you can add?
I usually try to insert healthier substitutes in for desserts, so your website is perfect for someone like me! Anyways, I was worried that this mousse would taste too much like tofu (which it did when I first blended it). But after an hour or two in the fridge, the tofu taste completely disappeared! I gave some to my partner and all he commented on were the chunks of chocolate chips (that didn’t fully melt due to my impatience haha~). All I could taste was delicious, creamy chocolatey goodness, and for that I thank you!!
Looks yummy. Can this be used to frost a cake?
