Remember how I mentioned I was going to a party on Tuesday and I’d write more about it later? Welcome to later!
The party was for a group, called Circle of Friends, that pairs children with special needs with a buddy and plans fun events. This past Tuesday’s event was a karaoke and dance party. Since I didn’t ask permission to post most of the kids’ pictures, you don’t get to see the huge smiles on their faces… but believe me, everyone had a terrific time.

I didn’t show up empty-handed. (Do I ever go to a party empty-handed?) The yellow sheet cake I baked and decorated was gone almost before I set it down on the table!
Here’s a pic of me, with my favorite friend 🙂

Amy and Whaling Station Believer,
Thanks for the super-sweet comments. As always, they made me smile!!!
Everyone else– thanks for your comments too, and I’ll be visiting your blogs soon :o).
You are possibly the most wonderful human on the planet.
And you have mad cake decorating skills.
Put the two together, and you are just plain awesome!
Your so freak’n NICE! XD
Seriously, the cake is cute. It’s kinda sad it got dug into so quickly, at least you got a picture first.
OMG, that cake is adorable! I am totally envious of your decorating skills.
I replied to your comment on my post about my pets. You should post pictures of yours.
wow, you are awesome for volunteering so much for great projects!
That cake looks great – no wonder it disappeared so quickly! And good for you – Circle of Friends sounds an amazing cause, though how you find time to volunteer, study AND bake such amazing stuff is beyond me!!
karaoke, sheet cake and awesome company? sounds like a perfect tuesday night!
What a beautiful cake and wonderful photos!
Aww Katie, how wonderful are you?
The cake decoration is so cute!
