Question of the Day:
When baking cookies, do you eat any of the raw cookie dough?
To us cookie dough lovers, this may sound like a silly question… OF COURSE we eat the raw cookie dough! But there are surprisingly people out there with no desire to eat the dough whilst baking cookies. There are even people out there who dislike the texture of cookie dough! To those of you who fall into this category, I say: Please hand over your unwanted cookie dough recipes to me. I will gladly consume them for you.
Oh what I do for my readers… 🙂

Yes! I eat the cookie dough, but once I add the baking soda or powder I try not to eat any more, because I always feel funky after that. So, I’ll add it at the wrong step if the dough is tasting really good, just so I have more to eat! 🙂
My boyfriend picked up a tub of GF chocolate chip cookie dough at the store yesterday and I told him to put it back because it wouldn’t even make it back to the house before I’d start eating it by the spoonful.
All. The. Cookie dough. It’s overwhelming me, I want to eat it all!!!
Recipes with cookie dough have been going around so much lately! I have yet to try one, but can’t wait 🙂

Do any of those cookie dough recipes fall into the paleo category?
I always eat some of the dough, it’s just so good! Thanks for all your recipes!
Yes, many of her recipes are indeed paleo!
I see both sides. I like cookie dough, so I can understand people obsessing over it. But I also can only eat so much before I become a little repulsed, so I can understand people not liking it.
I think being in the middle is great. I almost always eat cookie dough when I bake, so I’m not missing out on that pleasure. But I usually save the eating for the final scrapings, so I don’t end up with only three quarters of the cookies that the recipe was supposed to make. 😀 Win-win!
They forgot to include you in Huffington Post’s “Cookie Dough Recipes So Good You Can’t Not Lick The Spoon” compilation! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/08/cookie-dough-recipes_n_3671243.html?utm_hp_ref=taste&ir=Taste?utm_hp_ref=taste&ir=Taste
Hi Katie,
I had a baby 6 months ago and I trying to be careful about the amount of chemicals and other junk I put in my body (for me and him). I recently stumbled across your blog and spend much of my day drooling over your recipes. And sometimes drooling over the things I make from your recipes, and hoping my husband will be too weirded out by the ingredients to want to share.
I noticed some of your older recipes don’t yet have full nutritional info (or WW points, for those who follow that method). It would be great if you could go back and update those at some point. You know, for those of us who are too busy chasing after a 6 month old to input the ingredients to caloriecount ourselves! 🙂
You should have a list a recipes thats low carb too!
You mean some people don’t eat raw cookie dough? Are you sure they are real people? Most of the time I prefer the taste/texture of the raw batter to the baked cookies. I will gladly nominate you for martyr status for your willingness to eat cookie dough for others. It takes special dedication to make that kind of promise and then follow through. 🙂
