Chocolate oatmeal?! Is there really such a thing?

Oh my goodness, yes! In just 5 minutes, you can make this decadent-yet-good-for-you chocolate oatmeal for one.
It’s like dessert for breakfast!
I don’t let chance dictate whether my day gets off to a good start. I’d rather make sure it’ll be a good day… by consuming chocolate first thing.
Sometimes, it’s in the form of my Chocolate Banana Bread.
Or this ultra creamy Vegan Chocolate Mousse.
But often, it simply means mixing a spoonful of chocolate peanut butter into my morning oatmeal, or cutting a big hunk off a 100% chocolate bar to eat on the side of whatever breakfast I might be having.

It’s not possible to eat chocolate and frown at the same time.
Really, it’s not. Try it!
Am I wrong? Can you do it?
Well, then at least I got you to eat some chocolate!

What’s your favorite way to eat oatmeal?
Is there a specific way you always prepare it?
Or maybe you don’t like oatmeal at all?

My favourite is in your Deep-Dish Cookie Pie! I’m still dreaming about it! 😀 😀 I’ve been trying steel cut oatmeal recently, but it doesn’t quite sit well with my tummy. Normal oatmeal doesn’t either, but steel cut oatmeal causes more tummy discomfort. But when mixed into some baked good, all’s fine and well! Your photography skills are getting better and better! 😀
Try gluten free oats
I avoid gluten in general as it flares IBS symptoms, but I use these oats and feel ok 🙂

I love simple stove top quick oats. I simple add oats, milk, some water, a banana, and a tad of brown sugar. PERFECT!
I love both steel-cut oats and rolled oats, but I probably eat rolled oats more often because they cook faster:) One of my favorite ways to prepare rolled oats is to cook half a cup of oats with: 1 cup of almond milk and 1 banana mashed with 1 Tbsp of cocoa powder and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Then I swirl in a big spoonful of almond butter and the end and devour:) I also once cooked some oats with pineapple instead of my usual banana, blueberries, or apple, and it was soooo delicious! Who knew that pineapple would be so good in oatmeal?? Shredded pear is also delicious in oatmeal (shredding it helps evenly distribute the sweetness throughout the oatmeal). And in my opinion, no bowl of oatmeal is complete without some nut butter mixed in:)
Pineapple oatmeal sounds so tropical! Add coconut milk and you have a pina colada!
My new favorite oatmeal combo: Put 1/2 C old fashioned oats in a bowl. Pour in enough water to cover. Microwave 1 1/2 min. stir in 1 t maple syrup and 1 T coconut cream/milk (from the can). So quick and so delicious!
You had me at the mention of coconut cream :).
Yummy!!! I love oatmeal!!!! Here they actually sell a box of oats w/ cocoa powder already mixed in! It makes me so happy! hahaha
I lovee rolled oats. I ALWAYS mix mine with fresh fruit, cinnamon, and ground ginger. Chocolate chips look like an excellent addition! yum!
chocolate + oatmeal= there’s a party in my tummy
Always always: rolled oats, coconut milk, cinnamon, vanilla and a sliced banana cooked on the stove top. Then I swirl in scoop of nut butter. It’s my favorite way to have ’em 🙂 Even better if I have an empty nut butter jar. 😉
Beautiful, chocolaty, and delicious as always! It looks so good….be back in 5 minutes!
Chocolate + oatmeal = Delicious! Two of my favorite foods together!
