Chocolate oatmeal?! Is there really such a thing?

Oh my goodness, yes! In just 5 minutes, you can make this decadent-yet-good-for-you chocolate oatmeal for one.
It’s like dessert for breakfast!
I don’t let chance dictate whether my day gets off to a good start. I’d rather make sure it’ll be a good day… by consuming chocolate first thing.
Sometimes, it’s in the form of my Chocolate Banana Bread.
Or this ultra creamy Vegan Chocolate Mousse.
But often, it simply means mixing a spoonful of chocolate peanut butter into my morning oatmeal, or cutting a big hunk off a 100% chocolate bar to eat on the side of whatever breakfast I might be having.

It’s not possible to eat chocolate and frown at the same time.
Really, it’s not. Try it!
Am I wrong? Can you do it?
Well, then at least I got you to eat some chocolate!

What’s your favorite way to eat oatmeal?
Is there a specific way you always prepare it?
Or maybe you don’t like oatmeal at all?

I lovelovelove this recipe 🙂 Throwing in some peanut butter tops it off just right, or some vanilla yogurt, even (which I don’t do often; yay lactose intolerance!)
I prefer rolled oats just because I’m a college student and I’m usually rushing this way and that in the morning. They cook faster. but maybe I ought to give those steel-cut a shot on my break, huh?
I do something similar to this at least a few times a week. chocolate oats are delicious. I throw in some cayenne and cinnamon to the mix 🙂

My favorite way to eat oatmeal is to combine 1/2 cup of rolled oats, 1 cup of milk, 1 apple peeled and sliced into little cubes, a pinch of cinnamon, a pinch of apple pie spice, and either 1 tbsp of maple syrup or honey. Tastes like apple pie!
This is one of my favorite ways to eat oatmeal. I make mine sans the milk, with 1/2 a banana, a teaspoon or two of cocoa powder and a tablespoon of cashew butter for creamy goodness. Vanilla and cinnamon are great additions as well. 🙂
