Oh my goodness, yes! In just 5 minutes, you can make this decadent-yet-good-for-you chocolate oatmeal for one.

It’s like dessert for breakfast!

I don’t let chance dictate whether my day gets off to a good start. I’d rather make sure it’ll be a good day… by consuming chocolate first thing.

Sometimes, it’s in the form of my Chocolate Banana Bread.

Or this ultra creamy Vegan Chocolate Mousse.

But often, it simply means mixing a spoonful of chocolate peanut butter into my morning oatmeal, or cutting a big hunk off a 100% chocolate bar to eat on the side of whatever breakfast I might be having.

It’s not possible to eat chocolate and frown at the same time.

Really, it’s not. Try it!

Am I wrong? Can you do it?

Well, then at least I got you to eat some chocolate!

LOVE oatmeal!! I love all kinds, honestly. I like it plain, or with some pb/j, fresh blueberries, your banana bread in a bowl… I honestly eat oatmeal every single day!

  2. Lenna says:

Chocolate banana oatmeal is probably my fave way of eating oat. When strawberries or raspberries are in season, they also make a nice addition 🙂

  3. Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free says:

It’s like a chocolate monkey tail oatmeal!!!! Whhhheeeeee 😀

I haven’t been eating a whole lot of oats lately 🙁 But, I love making all different sorts of flavors! I really don’t like eating the same bowl twice! Why should I have to eat the same bowl twice with so many fun add-ins available? Some Favorites: Chocolate banana (Baker’s Chocolate with Slice Bananas), Chocolate Cherry (cocoa with fresh cherries), Tropical (coconut, oranges, peaches), Nutty Apple Spice (walnuts, cinnamon, apple)

  4. Maya says:

My favorite is putting a heaping spoon of Dark Chocolate Dreams in it and stirring it until it’s all gooey. MMMmmmmm.

Today I was just about to make breakfast when I saw your post- and I tried this one out! Delicious 🙂 I love how the only sweetener is the banana. Perfect amount of sweetness.

  5. Kaitlyn@TheTieDyeFIles says:

Mmmmm oatmeal+chocolate! Steel cut are my favorite for sure, but sometimes I mix in rolled or oat bran for volume. I’m such a volume eater! And I agree. Impossible not to smile while consuming chocolate.

  6. Jen says:

My favorite bowl of oatmeal is rolled oats, cooked on the stovetop with banana slices, raisins, and cinnamon. Then topped with a spoonful of peanut butter. Glass of milk on the side. 😉

  7. Ashley says:

This looks so good!! Ive actually added cocoa to my oatmeal before and loved it. My favorite way to eat oatmeal is with cinnamon and sugar!!

  8. Aine @ Something to Chew Over says:

It’s one of my favourite ways to enjoy oats 🙂

  9. Becky @ Skinnyfat Girls says:

My perfect bowl of oatmeal would be 1/2 cup of oats, 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup raspberries, 1/2 cup peaches, and 1/3 cup walnuts sprinkled with coconut flakes, coconut cream, and chocolate chips! MMMMMM!!! Oats are perfection.

  10. J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) says:

That looks delicious!! So chocolaty! YUMMMM

My favorite way to eat oatmeal is with a lot of sugar and butter, but I haven’t had it that way in years, lol.
