Chewy homemade chocolate Nutella rice crispy treats!

Yesterday, I met a boy who said he hated chocolate.
It made me sad. I went home and ate two nutella rice krispy treats.
After that, I felt much better 😉

Do you know anyone who doesn’t like chocolate?
Although I don’t understand them, I love finding people who don’t like chocolate… it just means there is more for me.
These ultra chocolatey Nutella crispy treats could not be easier to make. Simply combine everything together, and press into an 8×8 pan. There’s no baking required, and you only need 6-7 ingredients!

Nutella Rice Crispy Treats
Ingredients
- 3 cups rice crispies
- 2 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup store bought or Homemade Nutella
- 1/2 cup agave or honey
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder OR chocolate protein powder
- optional melted chocolate for dipping
InstructionsÂ
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients but the rice crispies. Melt to a stir-able consistency (either in the microwave or on the stove), then pour over the cereal and stir very well, making sure to coat all the crispies. Line an 8×8 pan with wax or parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly into the pan. Place a sheet of wax or parchment paper on top, then press down as firmly as you can. Really press it down! Freeze for at least a half hour before slicing, and store the homemade bars in the fridge or freezer. Dip bottoms in melted chocolate if desired.View Nutrition Facts

i cant believe how can people not like chocolate- seriously??? these treats looks deliciousss
Rice crispy treats are my faaaavourite – I’ve never tried them with Nutella – clearly a must-have combo!
I made these last night and they are awesome. My 3 year old kept trying to sneak them out of the refrigerator today.
I do not like Chocolate, or Nutella for that matter. Sorry I love your blog and my family are happy they get more chocolate. We don’t do chocolate birthday cakes very often however we do find wonderful options for me to eat too or just visit their aunt who absolutely loves chocolate and has more than enough to share and makes then chocolate cake every chance she gets. i love vanilla!
It is too bad to learn that someone hates chocolate because he is missing a lot of things. I like rice crispy treats because of the crunchiness feeling and the sweetness taste that I get from eating it. I did not know that strict vegans do not use honey. I wonder what’s the reason behind it. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.
It’s simple to make and quite scrumptious. I’m going to have to try them now!
Looks good. While I don’t know anyone who really doesn’t like chocolate – I know someone who doesn’t like Rice Crispy Treats – Me! 😉
Never knew that knowing someone who doesn’t like chocolate would come in handy for a question like this. Yes, one of my friends does not like chocolate at all. We tease him for that.
These look amazing! I’m so mad that we are out of Nutella right now! I’ll be running out to the store in the morning!
Hey all, just to give an alternative option.
4c puffed rice (as opposed to sugar added breakfast cereal)
1c desiccated coconut
125g coconut oil
125g carob
1c mixed chopped dried fruit (try apricots, craisins, blueberries)
(if not sweet enough add a little brown sugar)
Melt carob + oil in a small pan
mix all other ingredients in a large bowl, mix in the melted oil and carob
pop in muffin cases and into the fridge to set
(some times use a baking tray lined with plastic wrap and lay on that and break apart later)
Make this all the time for birthday parties etc.
