Homemade vegan peanut butter chips – easy to make, impossible to stop eating, and without all the artificial ingredients!

These homemade peanut butter chips take less than a minute to make…
And they literally MELT in your mouth!
But be warned: they are quite possibly more addictive than the most addictive thing you’ve ever eaten.
Try them in this Chickpea Cookie Dough Dip

You only need 3 ingredients for these melty pb chips.
However, you will want to eat them all without sharing, so be sure that you plan accordingly.
Throw them into desserts with chocolate chips, or add a handful to these Baked Oats, for a breakfast that tastes like chocolate peanut butter cake.
Making your own vegan peanut butter chips is a much healthier option than picking up a package of peanut butter chips from the store.
There are no partially-hydrogenated oils, refined sugar, artificial flavors, or corn syrup solids in these vegan peanut butter chips, and they honestly do taste a million times better.
Once you try homemade, you will never go back!

Vegan Peanut Butter Chips
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp coconut oil or cacao butter
- 1/2 cup peanut flour, or 1/4 cup nut butter of choice
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup, or for sugar free: replace the maple with 1 extra tbsp oil and stevia drops to taste
Instructions
- *To make the homemade chips look exactly like real packaged peanut butter chips, I used and recommend this Chocolate Chip Candy Mold.Peanut butter chips recipe: Melt the first ingredient if it’s not already liquid. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and stir well to form a paste. (Note: I personally much prefer the taste of the chips when made with coconut oil. However, use the cacao butter if you wish to bake with the chips.) Smooth into candy molds or onto a sheet of wax or parchment paper, and freeze until solid. If using the wax/parchment option, break chips into pieces once firm. The coconut version of these vegan peanut butter chips should be stored in the freezer; the cacao butter version can be stored in the fridge, freezer, or at room temperature.View Nutrition Facts

Hello! I always come to your site, but I never leave a comment – I wanted to tell you how adorable your site is. Every time I come, I always look at how delicious it is! I want to make it so badly, but it’s always hit or miss for me! For example, the cake batter shake … I devoured in ten seconds flat. However, when I tried the mint-chocolate-chip one, I was disgusted by the toothpaste taste. (And I love MCC. Maybe I made it wrong!)
Would it be possible for there to be a rating system? xoxo LOVE your stuff
Did you use pure extract or immitation? And how much? That stuff is strong… a little too much could definitely give a toothpaste taste!
I used two teaspoonfuls. Too much?
I’ll try it again tomorrow and then tell you what I think!
Healthy Pina Coloda: 1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple, 1 frozen banana, 1 cup of Silk Coconut Milk (carton), two cups of ice; blend
Hi Paige,
Im confused… the recipe only says “2 drops” :-?.
OH MAN! Sorry, no wonder I felt like I was brushing my teeth – I read two teaspoonfuls! How much would two drops be?
Literally..2 drops 😀
Can you buy peanut flour in the uk??
Hi!

http://writingbeckles.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/very-inspiring-blogger-award-thank-you/
Aw Becky, thank you!!
Awesome recipe. Do you find that the unrefined coconut oil makes it to coconutty?
I don’t taste coconut at all.
Are you looking for recipe testers? Because I am super excited for your cookbook!!:)
I’m still not sure how to ask for recipe testers :-?.
You know my stance on muffins : they are simply cupcakes without hats. So peanut butter? Chocolate chips? Definitely crazystupidlove worthy. You need to get in on this.
We had a regular gentleman at our office who stole everyone’s lunches. He would look thru until he found a container that looked good and he would proceed to eat it. (Course he stole everything else in the place that wasn’t nailed down also) One way to definitely deter thiefs, as well as find the culprit, is to fill the dish with X-lax instead of chocolate. It won’t take long for them to give up taking lunches. Works every time!!
Oh yum. These, in your healthy chocolate chip cookies.
With dark chocolate chips, and some chopped ricemilk chocolate.
They didn’t last long 🙂
I did make these! They are fabulous! They are sweet enough that you don’t need to finish entire batch…I even made the mistake of letting my husband try a piece…now he knows I have them somewhere..my fault, I know. Yum!
Hi Katie,
I was just dying to comment on you asking about having thieves who steal coworkers lunch. Well, we have this problem frequently. I am thankful as I try and keep my lunch in an insulated cooler but, a few of the girls have had bites taken out of their lunches and put back. Also we had one girl who got a cheesecake for Christmas and someone took a whole hunk out of it and left the rest to where it didn’t even make you want to touch it for fear they didn’t even wash their hands or who knows how they went to get the piece they wanted!! Just so repulsive, it makes me wonder why and where they learn these things from??
Finally, I just wanted to share I love ALL your creative and very yummy features on here. I haven’t tried all of them or I think I would need to spend more time at my Crossfit and Spin Class..lol. Thank you so much and appreciate you trying to make things healthy and tasty!! You are so incredibly talented! 🙂
