Nutella Cookies?

Can I interest you in a Nutella cookie?

No?

No takers?

I can’t imagine why…

Are you sure???

All joking aside, I’d hoped to give you a Nutella cookie recipe today. After all, it’s World Nutella Day! But as you can see, this cookie recipe = a major fail. Major. If anyone was under the impression that my recipe experiments always work out on the first try, let the above photos stand as evidence to the contrary Confused smile.

It often takes me two or three (or four or five!) tries before I get something worthy of posting on the site. So I won’t give up on that Nutella cookie recipe yet. Hopefully the next batch you see will look a heckuva lot better than these! (They couldn’t look worse, right?) In the meantime…

Do try this recipe: Healthy Chocolate Nutella.

It’s really quick and easy, much better for you than regular Nutella… and it tastes way better, too! Just don’t turn it into cookies. Trust me. Winking smile

Question of the Day:

Have you had any recipe failures recently?

Tomorrow, I promise to give you a recipe that is not a failure. I’m just deciding which one to post first: Triple Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate-Chip Love Cookies, Raspberry Truffle Ice Cream…

is it weird that they still look delicious to me?? haha…

hahaha awww, it happens to the best of us, Katie! You should have seen my gluten-free vegan pecan pie I made at Christmas…I worked so hard on it, and the whole thing ended up being a giant mess when I tried to bake it. We can’t be perfect, it happens 😉

Thanks for sharing your “failures” as well as your successes. I often feel discouraged when adapting/making new recipes and it’s good to know that even superstar food bloggers like yourself run into trouble sometimes! Now if I could only convince my kids to eat less-than-perfect products…

Oh goodness, if only I could show you all the failures I have! There are a lot!

But sometimes, failures turn into something awesome… like when I tried to make granola bars and ended up with really good cookies instead! 😉

    … I’d eat it.

They still look good to me! And by the way, I made your pb cookies (for about the 20th time) with Justin’s chocolate hazelnut butter and they were immense 🙂

Hey, I would still scarf ’em down! I’ve made some before with nothing but Nutella and an egg. Comes out sooooo yummy. Like the crisp and chewy edges of a brownie.

  8. Sapphire says:

I made a vegetable soup in my slow cooker and made the big mistake at putting in pasta too early and it was absolutely horrible.

World Nutella Day, eh? My kids (and husband) love Nutella. I’m not so much for it. I prefer maple almond butter myself. Or chocolate almond butter. I’m fixing “brinner” tonight so I am guessing Nutella waffles will be on the menu.

I have a love/hate relationship with nutella, but I might have to celebrate today 🙂

Maybe you should go for nutella bars instead of cookies. To my way of thinking…it’s not so much if it looks like a cookie but does it taste like one? 🙂
