Raw Chocolate Chip Cookies

Redefining cookies and milk.

Just your basic nighttime snack at the Chocolate-Covered house, proving that healthy food can taste sinful. Especially healthy food in the form of raw chocolate chip cookies:

Above, homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Babies.

To make the cookies, I simply smushed the babies, as opposed to rolling them into balls. Voila! Raw chocolate chip cookies!

Are you a nighttime snacker? About 2 hours or so after dinner, I usually find myself getting hungry again. Enter the nighttime snack.

Favourite night time snack… hmm.. maybe chocolate? or a big sandwich? 😀

I’ll usually just eat candy if I get hungry late at night… That’s my one big food vice, candy. That includes chocolate though, and I do only eat good dark chocolate (except, I LOVE Ritter Sport marzipan bars!)
Occasionally, some cookies (healthier, and vegan cookies, not super-processed), or nuts (<3 cashews and almonds especially).

I’m usually not hungry for a night time snack! I eat a pretty late dinner because I’m an insomniac (yes, that’s something I’m working on fixing…it’s not easy!) and the way my schedule is, I tend to get home late on most days, so my body is used to eating a late dinner, which is usually filling but light (because I know heavy foods will just interfere with my sleep even more). Anyway, the food is filling enough that I don’t feel a need to eat again until breakkie, however…I might have to make an exception for some raw cookie dough babies because those look delicious! Or I’ll sneak them in as a day time snack.
I’ve been wanting to make your carrot cake macaroons for a while now, but I always forget to buy dates! The baby recipes all look so so good.
Have a great Friday night Katie!

Those cookies look great :). My favorite nighttime snack is pretty much anything.. haha that’s my downfall if it looks good i’ll eat it, I don’t crave anything specif.

Yes- that insane rumor about nighttime eating is ridiculous! 🙂 I say eat when you are hungry! I don’t eat a snack every night but when my stomach says “feed me”, I say “okay stomach, hold on a second and let me find something great”
It definitely varies but fruit is always good or air-popped popcorn or dark chocolate or frozen yogurt or cereal…I could go on and on haha

I’m a random night time snacker. I don’t do it all the time but maybe like once a week. Ice cream is usually the culprit!

I’ve never understood not eating in the evening. If dinner is at like, 6 pm, and you are up until 11 or 12, you are gonna be hungry. Many cultures don’t eat dinner until 9 pm or later, like in South America and Europe, and that doesn’t seem to harm them.

My fave evening snack is probably a chopped up apple and nut butter, but I’ll eat pretty much anything.

I am such a nighttime snacker–my whole family is really. Once it hits 9PM, we’re all hittin the kitchen for some nibbles. My favorite is obviously a fruit smoothie, but I’ve been known to stray to yogurt or hummus and crackers.

It depends on what portion of the night for me. Before bed I love something sweet–like last night’s waffle/banana sandwich. But if I wake up hungry in the night, my favorite thing in the world is cold Chinese food, followed closely by cold Mexican food! Oh, it’s divine!
