The Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Pie

The Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Pie

Total Time: 5m
Yield: 8-10 slices

Ingredients

  • 12.3 oz silken or firm tofu (I highly recommend Mori-Nu silken-firm for no aftertaste)
  • 1 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk of choice
  • scant 1/8 tsp salt
  • 8 to 10 oz chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups or more)
  • 2-3 tbsp sweetener of choice (If you are used to less-sweet desserts, you can omit)
  • optional: extracts, flavorings, or liqueurs

Instructions

Carefully melt the chocolate (either on the stove or in the microwave – google how to melt chocolate), then throw everything into a food processor and blend until super-smooth. Pour into a pie crust if desired. Fridge until chilled. This gets firmer and firmer, the longer it sits. It’s also firmer if you use firm tofu and more like mousse pie if you use silken.

I promise you, everyone will rave about it, and no one will believe it has tofu!!

I made this today and its insane! Soooo good! My husband is so fussy with dessert and hates any healthy desserts normally but he loved this! Is the calorie breakdown inclusive iof the crust?

  2. Claudia says:

Hello, looks so yummy and I’d like to know about carb facts 🙂 Thanks!

I have been low-carbing it for over 6 months, and I can say: where has this been all my life? I can say that I have seen the light, and that light is Tofu. I made one today for my boyfriend and I, adding peanut butter in lack of chocolate, and we loved it. usually he isn’t into my low carb recipes, but we ate (shamefully) the whole thing (with help from my mom) between lunch and after dinner. thank god for splenda, and tofu! I used a pecan crust, and it was the best desert I’ve had in years.

This looks great! When it says melt the chocolate, what else are you melting besides the cocoa powder?

I have no idea where to find that specific brand of tofu! I don’t want a funky after taste. Do you order it online or does your local grocer carry it? I looked at 2 different locations for my grocer and they didn’t have it 🙁

Whole Foods or yes, online works as well.

I tried the chocolate tofu pie. Not sure if I did something wrong or if I just don’t like tofu. But it isn’t smooth. I blended FOREVER but couldn’t couldn’t get it to anything but a grainy like consistency. The flavor was great! The texture is killing me, though!

    1. Unofficial CCK Helper says:

      It should definitely be smooth.
Did you use MoriNu? And a good food processor?

  8. Lori B. says:

I JUST made this and was beyond shocked at how ultra fast it was! I used coconut milk. What took the longest was waiting the 10min for my crust to bake! This would be amazing piped from a pastry bag onto….. pretty much anything. 🙂 Thanks for the easy recipe.

  9. dana says:

What would the nutrition facts be without the crust ? can you recommend any other crust other than the graham crust 🙂

  10. Lori says:

    Hi Katie!
This pie looks amazing and I plan on getting all the ingredients tomorrow to make it, but I have a question…how can it be only 143 cal. & 6 gr. of fat when it calls for so many chocolate chips?
