What if I told you that this chocolate fudge pie is…

  • Dangerously rich and delicious
  • Much healthier than it tastes – and lower in calories!
  • Did I mention it only has 6 ingredients?

Warning: If you bring this chocolate pie to parties, people will devour every last chocolatey bite. And then they’ll realize they’re about to choke from gobbling it up so fast they forgot to stop and breathe. Sounds intense… but don’t worry. If you make this, you will never bring it to a party.

The Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Pie

The Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Pie

Total Time: 5m
Yield: 8-10 slices

Ingredients

  • 12.3 oz silken or firm tofu (I highly recommend Mori-Nu silken-firm for no aftertaste)
  • 1 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk of choice
  • scant 1/8 tsp salt
  • 8 to 10 oz chocolate chips (about 1 1/2 cups or more)
  • 2-3 tbsp sweetener of choice (If you are used to less-sweet desserts, you can omit)
  • optional: extracts, flavorings, or liqueurs

Instructions

Carefully melt the chocolate (either on the stove or in the microwave – google how to melt chocolate), then throw everything into a food processor and blend until super-smooth. Pour into a pie crust if desired. Fridge until chilled. This gets firmer and firmer, the longer it sits. It’s also firmer if you use firm tofu and more like mousse pie if you use silken.

I promise you, everyone will rave about it, and no one will believe it has tofu!!

Just want to thank you for this awesome recipe.. I tried it 2 days ago, and the pie was gone yesterday. My family & I really love it! We’re not really dessert people, but this one is a keeper. I like how simple & quick it is.

Love, Love, Love this pie. So simple to make. When just made it’s the best pie ever..
Let it freeze overnight and just had with coffee. Yum! Made it in my food processor but noticed some tofu spots. I melted the chocolate in the microwave and used one T. Sugar.
    Wonderful.
Thanks for number of slices and calorie count, that helps us weight watchers

I just made this and it is INCREDIBLE. I added half a tbsp of maple syrup instead of sugar and sweetener – the result is rich, but still nice and dark. Diabetic-friendly too!

Thanks for the recipe! I made it a few weeks ago, and everyone loved it! I also made a peanut butter version with Reese’s chips which turned out ok (I did not add the cocoa powder, maybe I should have added some PB2). I am now making a THIRD pie which is completely sugar free (Using SF choc chips and just a hint of liquid stevia). Had to use up a case of silken tofu which goes bad at the end of the month. Pieeeeeee.

    Dearest Katie!
    Happy belated birthday (obviously)! ?
I was wondering, the only thing available for me is dark chocolate, can I just cut into tiny tiny chunks and use it instead of the chips? Also, one 75 gr chocolate bar (1.28 oz)- would I have to use ~7 or adjust sweetness since the chocolate is 50% dark?
Nothing I hope more that you have the happiest of birthdays and reply to this lol. Thanks so much!

OMG made this last night and it is AMAZING. I woke up and half the pie was gone… my mom says it tastes like a mousse/fudge pie. So easy, no baking required, and very versatile! I think I’m going to make this for a holiday and maybe add a special flavor? HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

HI – this pie/cake is amazing! i’m just getting into vegetarian/vegan eating, so this is wonderful! I would LOVE to know if you have any idea of the nutritional value regarding calories, fat, etc… I could prob add everything up and divide by portions, but if you’ve already done that, thenn… I don’t have to lol Either way – thank you for sharing your recipe! its a hit in my house!

I know this is several years late, but I make this recipe all the time (the version in your cookbook). I was thinking about using it as a base for a Stars and Stripes fruit pie and was wondering – do you think it would work with white chocolate and vanilla bean instead of semi sweet and cocoa powder?

This cake looks awesome! And happy birthday btw ^^
Since I have some silken tofu left, I definitely want to make it, but I have one question: How do you make the crust? Thank you 😀
