Homemade Dole Whip Flavors Banana

The best part is that you can make the soft serve swirl without an ice cream machine.

Since the banana version of this refreshingly natural treat isn’t offered yet at Disney, the only place you can currently try it is at home in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Out of pineapple, strawberry, and banana, the banana is definitely my favorite flavor that I’ve made so far.

I’m pretty sure that if Disney tasted just one spoonful, they’d immediately realize banana Dole Whip very much needs to be on their menu.

Banana Soft Serve

Seriously, if you love bananas, this one is a must-try.

Since the banana version isn’t offered yet at Disney, the only place you can currently get it is with this recipe. It is a must-try for any banana lover! Full recipe: https://lett-trim.today/2015/07/30/banana-dole-whip/

This recipe was adapted from my Banana Ice Cream.

If you’ve never made banana ice cream before, be sure to watch the video above. To turn it into banana Dole Whip, just add the lemon juice to the base recipe.

    Hi Katie,
This sounds so yummy. Would this work as cup cake icing? I’m making my son birthday cup cakes and would love to make a sugar free icing.

I make no-ice cream chocolate shakes for myself with a very similar recipe. 1 ripe banana, cup or so of ice, tbsp or two of cocoa powder, tsp of vanilla, milk to finish filling the 16oz bullet cup. Blend until smooth. I find the banana is plenty of sweet for me, but others might prefer to add a little.

I’ve never had any Dole Whip before but I know they do sell it at a local ice cream place in my town (because it’s the only vegan frozen dessert there). I remember looking up the ingredients before and they kind of scared me! This version is way healthier of course : ) Disney should be using your Dole whip recipes!

I thought that ‘my’ idea for making a soft serve ice cream with frozen bananas, naturalluy sweetened with dates was brilliant and unique, lol! Great minds think alike!!! My kids LOVE this…and I love that it is so much healthier for them than ice cream!

  13. Ann says:

Has anyone tried with a Yonanas Machine yet? I’m not exactly sure what to do since there is milk and lemon juice (which seem to be great additions that I want to try….)…should I blend it up and then pour in an ice cube tray and put the cubes through the machine when they’re completely frozen? I’ve tried almond milk ice cubes in the Yonanas and it didn’t turn out well–to icy and not smooth.

This looks absolutely gorgeous! Bananas?! Coconut?! Yum yum!

  15. Kelly says:

Hi! Does anyone know if this would work with frozen *sauteed* bananas? I love bananas, but I’m sensitive to them (throat, tongue, and soft palate itch, swell, and develop small sores) unless they’re cooked in some way. This looks absolutely divine, and I’d love to try it if cooking the bananas won’t make them too squidgy to use or something.

  16. Ellen says:

Looks delish and the stats per serving are not bad….no way can eat it all at one sitting (too many carbs)..well i COULD but shouldn’t, lol..that being said, could one freeze the rest or ????
